It won’t be long till the 18th anniversary of Sliders. I’ll direct you to the best places for Sliders websites and discussion in the year 2013. From the moment Sliders debuted on March 22, 1995 discussion and websites has seemed to be continually going. There’s even a Sliders Hall of Fame bulletin board reliving some of the best discussion, (and the worst) from years ago even way back in 1998.

Sliders websites have come and gone, some still living year after year, new ones springing up, and others just seem to be unstuck like in “The Unstuck Man” episode. I’ll show you the ones to keep visiting come 2013.

In and around late 2005 the SciFi network caused a big uproar among Sliders fans. The beloved Sliders home section on the SciFi forums was cast into the abyss leaving many wondering where to go. The solution? Well two new forums. An all new website at sliders.tv was born. It became a site where “fans can discuss the show.. or anything else”. Fans turned their back to SciFi and never looked back. The SciFi forums or I should say “SyFy” Forums brought back a Sliders section but it never remained the same since. You can discuss everything at sliders.tv from Sliders to Batman. The other new forum became the Earth Prime Forum, a new edition to the earthprime website. Like the forum says it’s “like sliders.tv, only less lively!”. Interpret that however you want, but the main earthprime.com website has been going strong since 1998 and continues to add new content, and many active writers.

If you still can’t get enough, try going over to the imdb.com sliders section for a fairly active discussion. Then there’s a comedic/critical look at the series at the Think of a Roulette Wheel blog by cartoonist and musician Ian McDuffie who is also featured at earthprime. As you continue to watch Sliders in 2013 and wonder why the vortex is that particular color or even like to see a close up look at an artifact from the show just slide over at the old Dimension of Continuity.

But you still say, I’ve seen all the episodes and I’d like to see more original Sliders. Why not go over to Sliders: Alternate Spin, which is currently in it’s eighth season of continuing the series in fan fiction. There’s many sliders websites and I haven’t even named them all. But the thing to remember is that every Sliders website has it’s pros and cons, some may be less lively, others haven’t been updated in ages but there’s something to enjoy from each and everyone. It really boggles the mind as to why these Sliders websites and discussion continue year after year. The show never ran as long as Star Trek or The X-Files but has a strong following that just seems to never die out.

Finally, I hope to continue updating the Slidecage into and beyond 2013. I’ll be entering the seventh year in August 13′, and I’ve tried to make this Sliders website unique and different from the ones that have preceeded it. So as always, enjoy your stay here at the Slidecage. If I’ve left anyone out for 2013 feel free to add your Sliders website in the comments section.
