Fan conventions are quite common nowadays. From scifi, drama, anime, music and more. The fandom never ends. John Rhys-Davies has been on quite the convention tour for many years including my visit to the FanBoyExpo in 2023.
I received a tip from someone just days before the 2025 FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention who said Cleavant Derricks would be there alongside John Rhys-Davies. All of this was at last minutes notice with a few days to go, but I posted the event details on X. Although I wasn’t able to go, thankfully Jerry O’Connell saw my post. After seeing it, he said he’s gotta go even when he didn’t know about it and hadn’t been scheduled! This year is the 30th anniversary of Sliders. It’s the first time they have been in person since they left the show. During the Sliders panel they discuss their past experiences on the show and what hope there could be a Sliders return. They want you to march in the streets and sign the Bring Back Sliders petition!
